How do you gain trust when you bring a brand new service to market?


First to market, first to make it - but only if you make it easy for everyone to catch on. The guys from WhipCar came to us with a new and exciting online venture based on the idea of car sharing. We knew that a robust platform and an easy-to-use interface would be crucial in getting this show on the road.


We built a super-sophisticated e-commerce platform that makes it easy for owners to market and rent out their cars - setting their own prices based on model and region-specific suggestions, and safe in the knowledge that their no-claims histories remain unscathed if their pride and joy is involved in a prang. But it's not all substance and no style. We provided all of the design and digital brand creation - centred on a seamless user journey that uses Google maps and triggered SMS and email communications to guide car owners and rental drivers through the process.


Since its launch in June 2010, WhipCar has achieved an astounding amount of press coverage - and one year in, boasted over 1,000 cars for hire in over 450 towns across the UK. They were also awarded a Europa award for Best Cleantech/Environmental Tech Startup 2010 and were invited to speak in The Economist's Innovation Awards 2010.
